We recently partnered with Sellafield Ltd on a project to help bring solutions to the charity and education sectors. Through the platform Together for Good, volunteering has never been easier.
Sellafield is a global centre for nuclear engineering management and has a major role in West Cumberland and Warrington. Through their social impact multiplied strategy, Sellafield Ltd seek to create shared value, working together with key stakeholders, their supply chain and the community.
After we won a competitive tender, our objective was to deliver an exciting industry solution and develop a volunteering platform for Sellafield which will help to connect corporate volunteers from Sellafield and its supply chain with volunteering opportunities in West Cumberland and Warrington. This included designing a user interface, back-end and front-end development, and database implementation. The solution incorporates user-friendly mobile apps for Android and iOS to complement the website, allowing volunteers to sign up, opportunities to be posted, and full analytics to record engagement and success, ensuring a seamless and convenient experience for all.
Working closely with Sellafield and BEC, we have created a fantastic live platform which helps to connect non-profit organisational businesses and volunteers in West Cumberland and Warrington. The Together for Good platform is dedicated to fostering resilient and thriving communities, aiming to maximise volunteer engagement and allowing businesses to monitor their impact effectively.
Marc Wilkinson, Business Development Manager at Nisyst, commented: “This has been an exciting project and it’s been a pleasure to work closely with Sellafield Ltd and the development team to bring such an innovative solution to the market to support the charity and education sectors. This is another great example of how we always look to embed ourselves in the industries we support”.
Tracy West, Senior Social Impact Manager at Sellafield Ltd, said: “At Together for Good, we believe in the power of collaboration to drive meaningful change. Our platform supports the vision in our social impact multiplied strategy, serving as a catalyst for bringing together businesses, organisations and volunteers to address pressing social and environmental challenges in West Cumberland and Warrington. By uniting our efforts, we can create lasting impact and build a stronger, more resilient community for all”.
To learn more about the partnership, we will be sharing updates on our website and social media and are excited to continue supporting the charity sector with innovation that drives future industry standards.
