Site Survey

A site survey is the first step to any EPoS installation and can often be the most important factor. If performed incorrectly the installation time can be increased or extra costs may be incurred for new cable runs, modifications to the counters and worst of all shop openings can often be delayed.

A site survey is a step by step process where our trained installer/surveyor will plan exactly where network cables will be run from and to, where plug sockets are required depending on where back office computers and tills in the shop will be situated.

If you are having a wireless network installed within your premises, a WiFi and / or Radio Frequency (RF) site survey will be required. The surveyor will set up special equipment around the building and use specialised monitoring devices and software to ensure that there is maximum signal level throughout the building.

Detailed pictures and plans may be taken and produced to ensure installers know exactly where to start and finish cable runs, position computers, network equipment and tills.
