Stock control/inventory

NPoS has several time-saving features to help with manual stock takes. You can also use a Nisyst hand-held terminal with software to do the whole job much faster. The main stock-take menu is divided into the following sections:

Fresh stock-take
You can prepare for a fresh stock-take in five different ways:

  • All products
  • Department only
  • Department/sub-group
  • Supplier
  • Specific product(s)

Enter counted figures
Input the counted information in the same five ways as you would prepare for a fresh stock-take. The input screen allows you to manually input data speedily or to connect up the hand-held terminal/RF.

Exceptions report
This will show stock-take discrepancies prior to posting your counted stock as actual stock.

Stock adjustments
Stock adjustments can be made and categorised according to the reason they are carried out. This vital information can be analysed by management to find out why stock adjustments are taking place.

Inter-shop transfers (multi-sites only)
Allows head office or warehouse to distribute stock to all branches and transfer stock from one branch to another.

Stock valuation
This is available by company, department, sub-group or supplier and will show stock levels and cost valuations for every product.
